What materials are used to make wooden wine boxes? Let's analyze them one by one.
1. Imported Russian pine, also known as camphor pine, is characterized by a light yellow color of the original wood, good eye feel and texture, attractive wood grain, and more importantly, the wood is not hard and easy to process, with a high yield rate. It is currently the preferred material for wooden wine box processing factories and is easy to procure, forming an industrial chain of raw material supply.
2. Paulownia is directly called paulownia in the industry, and some also say wutong, including many Japanese purchasers now mistakenly believe that paulownia is wutong, and there is a saying that "planting wutong trees attracts golden phoenix", so they especially like paulownia, which is also a common wood in Japanese furniture. In fact, paulownia and wutong are different. The material characteristics of paulownia wood are that the density of the material is very light and soft, with a light white color. However, the board is mostly gray white due to its oxidation discoloration. It is currently a commonly used material in the wooden box industry and the earliest and most widely processed material in the market. As it is locally produced, it is also high-yielding in the north and is the first choice for low-priced wooden wine boxes. Paulownia wood also has excellent characteristics such as resistance to deformation, sound insulation, and moisture resistance.
3. Imported Radiant Pine, also known as New Zealand Pine, is slightly whiter than paulownia in the absence of wood grain. Its wood grain is larger and harder than that of Camphor Pine. The commonly used wood for imported wooden wine boxes, especially the six piece solid wood wooden box, has a latecomer development form compared to Camphor Pine. The excellent feature is that there are fewer festivals and a high yield rate, but the disadvantage is that it is prone to deformation and the price is the same as that of camphor pine.
4. Plywood, as the name suggests, is a board made of glue, also known as multi-layer board. It is a relatively thin solid wood that is glued together layer by layer with glue. The characteristics are that the board is relatively sturdy, the price is low, and it is easy to process. Use poplar, paulownia, pine, birch, etc.
